Trustees
The Trust is managed by two Trustees, Joseph E. Bernstein and Dennis C. Vacco, who are advised from time to time by former Trustee Paul A. deBary, who now serves as an advisor to the Trustees. Their professional background is included below:
- Joseph E. Bernstein has been a Trustee since the Trust’s inception in January 2004. He is currently a Managing Director of Americas Partners, a real estate development firm. Formerly, he was an associate in New York at Cahill Gordon & Reindel and Rosenman & Colin, before opening his own law practice, from which he has retired.
- Dennis Vacco became a Trustee in June 2007. Mr. Vacco previously served as Attorney General for the State of New York and as United States Attorney for the Western District of New York. Mr. Vacco is currently ‘Of Counsel’ to Crane, Parente & Cherubin LLP, and is a member of Crane Vacco & Sanders, a government relations firm in Albany, NY.
- Paul A. deBary is Litigation Trustee Advisor. He served as a Trustee from the Trust’s inception in January 2004 until June 2007, when Mr. Vacco became a Trustee. Mr. deBary is a Managing Director at Marquette deBary Co., Inc., a New York based broker-dealer, where he serves as a financial advisor for state and local government agencies, public and private corporations and nonprofit entities. Mr. deBary served as Managing Director in the Public Finance Department of Prudential Securities from 1994 to 1997 and was a partner in the law firm of Hawkins, Delafield & Wood in New York from 1976 to 1994. Mr. deBary is a director of Empire Resorts, Inc.
