On April 11, 2003, the Monticello Raceway entities filed an action against the Tribe's former business partners, who had aided Park Place to derail the Casino Project, including President R.C.-St. Regis Management Company, Native American Management Corporation, Anderson-Blake Construction Company, Gary Melius, Ivan Kaufman, and Walter Horn. In this lawsuit, plaintiffs alleged defendants engaged in a conspiracy to restrain and interfere with their efforts to develop the Casino Project, and that defendants engaged in a fraud and conspiracy by withholding material evidence from Plaintiffs in connection with plaintiffs’ lawsuit against Park Place. This suit has been dismissed without prejudice by mutual agreement of the parties until after resolution of similar legal issues in the appeal pending against Harrah’s in the Second Circuit.
